About This Service
Tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) is a viral infection transmitted by tick bites, found in parts of Europe and Asia. The disease can cause fever, headache, and in severe cases, inflammation of the brain (encephalitis) that can lead to long-term neurological problems.
The vaccine is recommended if you'll be hiking, camping, or doing outdoor activities in forested areas of Europe (particularly Central and Eastern Europe, Scandinavia) or parts of Russia and Asia during spring and summer. The primary course consists of 2-3 doses depending on the schedule chosen.
