Hepatitis A Vaccination
Protection against Hepatitis A virus, transmitted through contaminated food and water.
About This Service
Hepatitis A is a viral infection affecting the liver, commonly spread through contaminated food and water, or close contact with an infected person. It's one of the most common vaccine-preventable diseases in travelers, making vaccination essential for most international travel.
Symptoms can include fever, fatigue, nausea, jaundice, and can last several weeks or months. The vaccine provides excellent protection - a single dose offers good protection, while a booster at 6-12 months provides immunity that lasts at least 25 years, possibly for life. The vaccine is recommended for travel to most destinations outside Western Europe, North America, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.
