About This Service
Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne viral infection causing high fever, severe headache, pain behind the eyes, joint and muscle pain, and rash. The disease is common in tropical and subtropical regions worldwide. Severe dengue can be life-threatening.
The dengue vaccine requires two doses given three months apart and is recommended for travelers with previous dengue infection who will spend extended time in endemic areas. The vaccine provides protection against all four dengue virus serotypes.
